a LOVEly vacation

Last week, my family & I took a much needed vacation to Oceanside, California.
(aka. a little piece of heaven)

I have narrowed down my LOVES of the trip.

-I LOVE my family.

-I LOVED the FARMERS MARKET that we ran into that was a block away from the beach. Dream come true! I loved everything about this Farmers Market, the specially made granola, fresh fruit and vegetables, toffee peanut butter, and gyros. I thought I had died and gone to heaven with the peanut butter and granola. mmm...

- I LOVED the beautiful weather. It was such a nice break to get out of the heat and to feel the cool ocean breeze and to smell the salty water. I will admit though, that my blood has thinned quite a bit since returning home from Idaho. This Arizona girl thinks that even 65 degrees is too cold.

-I especially LOVED laughing with dad, not necessarily at him, because of his pure white legs that never see the sun. Holy whiteness.

- I LOVED watching dad & James take surfing lessons. We were quite entertained for awhile on their behalf. (as shown below)

- I LOVE my family.

-I LOVED wearing my 2 new swimsuits for this trip that I didn't even have to pay for! They were given to me from a friend in my ward for free. Since my skin is very sensitive to the sun this summer, I bought this hat at TJ Max to keep from getting sunburned. And thanks to this hat...the only things that got sunburned were my arms.

- I LOVED bike riding along the beach with my family.

-I LOVE how mom and I both wore our purple capris.

-Did I mention that I LOVE my family?! ;)

-I LOVED sporting my wet suit with James & Annie and boogie boarding in the ocean. We enjoyed getting tackled by the waves, but did not enjoy swallowing salty sea water.

-I LOVED laughing at James & how he was starving every 20 minutes, even after we ate a huge meal. It was unreal at how hungry this boy was.

-I LOVED the day that we spent at Catalina Island being tourists, eating frozen yogurt, walking down main street, and dreaming of the day we will vacation there.

-Lastly, I LOVED spending time with my family. I LOVE our relationship. I LOVE that I am sealed to them for eternity.

I have learned that it doesn't matter what we do,
as long as I am with the people I love, it is a great time.

California gave us a good time.
