untitled.

Late Saturday night, Sarah comes into my room saying I have a package waiting for me at the door. A package? I was not expecting to have a package at midnight. In our living room was a giant box. Sure enough, my name was on the box from an unknown person. A poem was taped to the top of the box telling me to open the box to see who this is from. I opened the box and inside that box was another box, and another inside that one, and another inside that one. Newspaper was everywhere. We couldn't even see the living room floor. More boxes kept coming for me to open up to find the next clue. Finally once all the boxes and newspaper had ended, I found the end of the poem. I called the number it gave me and found out who this mystery person was. It was my pal which we'll keep unnamed asking me on a date for the next weekend. What a sweet and creative way. It reminded me of the good times in high school.

The reason was this post is "untitled" is because I am in a dilemma. It is a big dilemma. I am stuck in this high school stage of mind. In high school, if you went on a second or even third date with a boy, it didn't mean anything. It just meant that you were really good friends who just wanted to have a good time. I loved that kind of dating in high school.

College is completely different. I am in a whole different ballpark now. Now, people not only date for fun, but they date for a purpose. They are looking to find an eternal spouse! My school is nicknamed BYU-I do because people come here to 1.) get an education and 2.) to find their eternal mate. Going on a second date means something...it means that you are a future prospect for these boys.

I've realized right now, that I just want a really good guy friend, but I have learned that that does not exist. Moral of the story is, a second date, lots of hangouts, and texts with this boy led to this:

Yes, this would be a candy poster that was delivered to my house late Monday night by the same boy who delivered the mystery box. I did not know that a second date would lead to something serious, but it did. Oh goodness. I have gotten myself in a mess. Please watch this video and you'll understand how I am feeling.

Why Guys and Girls Cannot Be Friends:

amen.
