15 years and counting

Let me tell you about a very important person in my life. His name is James Dallin Coon, and he is my favorite brother.

15 years ago today, James was born. He was born in a Salt Lake City blizzard. I remember being a 3 year old little girl so excited to be a big sister. I remember what I wore that snowy December day when I met him. I was wearing my green plaid dress with tights. My hair had rubberband marks in it from my pigtails the previous day. I remember running through the hospital room door so anxious to see my new baby brother, but before I could hold him, dad helped me washed my hands. Most importantly, I remember holding and cuddling and kissing that soft baby skin. This was my brother.

James is the best. He is cool. He is fun. He is kind to everyone.  He is muscular. He is popular with the ladies. He has the most contagious laugh and sense of humor. He has many friends. He is athletic. He succeeds in everything he does. But above all these qualities, James is a righteous, stalwart young man who has a strong testimony and stands up for what he knows is right. He knows how to make a sister proud!

Love you Bro!

Oh my word! Nothing warms a mother heart. I love to hear your memories of James being born. You were so excited to be a big sister. My 2 oldest children are very valiant people. I couldn't ask for better kids then both of you. I love you. Thanks for being such a fine example to James. He looks up to you so much. I am so very blessed!
