This weekend was probably the best weekend that I've had in a long time, and I think I know why--it's because the semester is over!
Friday:
--Jessie, Jessica, and I went out to lunch at Zupa's! Jessie and I got the cauliflower soup and it was the most flavorful food. We loved it! Both Jessie and Jessica are getting married so soon! I have such great friends.
--That night, my family went to the temple lights to see my Aunt Debbie perform. It was the first night that it was actually cold in Arizona!
Saturday:
--It rained and rained. We were suppose to take our family pictures on Saturday. We met at the park with our photographer and attempted to take some pictures, but that lasted for only 2 seconds. Our hair became flat--and it was cold outside. We ended up taking pictures at home in front of the Christmas tree.
--James went to his first dance! He was asked to Mormon Christmas Formal by cute Mykayla Skinner. He looked sharp in his new vest.
--My best friend Emily came into town from Idaho and I was so excited to see her. Every year her family hosts a "Cookie/soup" party. I have never seen so many home baked cookies and goodies in one place--they easily made 30 different kinds of cookies. Those Mills....
--Next on the list of places to be was Jessica's bachelorette party. Before I say anything more, I just want to make sure that everyone knows: I will not be having a party of that sort. Throw me a bridal shower and I'll be good! ;) But seriously, these parties are interesting and can be fun, but definitely not my style. Earlier that morning, Kortni and I ventured to the crazy mall to purchase some unmentionables for our lovely friend. We ended up picking out the exact one she wanted. Score! Jess will be such a beautiful bride and we are so happy that she has found her prince charming.
Sunday:
--Church, received two new callings, loved on thee CUTEST babies in Primary, James was ordained a priest, visiting grandma and grandpa Dayley, quick naps...
my best buddy Dylan's 21st birthday party, and cousin Alice's birthday potluck dinner...
I'd say it was a mighty fun weekend.
