The BIG 1-6

Hot dang! Today was my bro's 16 birthday! Sixteen!?! 

Sixteen is a big year--dating & driving. It is something to be celebrated--and that's what we tried to do--we sure partied hard.

Have I mentioned yet that James is a ladies man? Because he is. Every weekend it seems like girls are either teeping our house, making him cookies, or asking him to their school dance. This weekend, they decorated his room while we were gone...and wrote "I Love You" on silly glasses. Ladies man.

Saturday night, James, Quinn, and Garrett had their Sweet 16 Birthday Bash hosted by the moms. They served mexican food, had a fire pit for roasting marshmallows, a photobooth, volleyball net, and music. It was totally chill & I think everyone had a fun time. (Except when my parents tried to organize the Kissing Rugby game--that didn't go so well. During that game, we realized that girls are far more mature than boys at this age.)

Seriously, this has been the best birthday for James.
First, he had a huge party thrown for him, and then....

Dad just happened to purchase a 1967 cherry red Mustang a week before James turned 16. To say that James was excited would be a complete understatement. I could tell that this new Mustang was on his mind because for days that's all he could talk to me about. Now it is going to be even more difficult to keep those girls away! Dad has insisted that it is the family car that James gets to drive once in awhile. Dad has also insisted that we do not call this car 'cute.' "It is dang good lookin'.

As an older sister, I have the right to brag about my cute brother every once in awhile. Really though, you could not find a more stalwart young man than James. James is the top of the line, A+ guy. He's a natural born leader, is SO smart, and has a great future ahead of him. Happy Birthday bro!

Now it's time to plan some really fun dates. Ready, set, go!
